Film selections are finally announced for The 2012 NYC Food Film Festival happening on October 18th – 21st

The NYC Food Film Festival is a film festival where you can taste what you see. With last year’s event being sold out, this year is sure to be just as great and in high demand. Here’s a sample of some of the film selections (30 films in total):

Meatopia 2012 is giving us more meat on Saturday, September 8th

Table Green and Table Green Café opens food kiosks in Battery Park City

Green Table, a Chelsea Market cafe, recently opened two food kiosks in Battery Park City serving Blue Marble ice cream and Crop to Cup coffee.
The kiosks are located inside of Battery Park (Battery Place and State Street) close to the Castle Clinton National Monument

Major specialty food service distributor expand operations in The Bronx

The Chefs’ Warehouse, Inc., a specialty food service distributor, recently signed a long-term lease for up to 35 years for 234,000 square feet of space. The expansion will add 100 new jobs to the New York City area– increasing the 313 employees they currently have at Dairyland USA Corporation, a subsidiary of The Chefs’ Warehouse, Inc, to 413 in total over the next 5 years.
The Chefs’ Warehouse, Inc. plans to invest between $15 million and $20 million in renovating new and unused space

Vegan Divas opens in the Upper East Side

This vegan bakery and cafe offers doughnuts, cookies, muffins, chocolate mousse, macaroons and carrot cake. They sell kosher baked goods too.
