REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS (KIOSK RFPS)

The Department of Transportation (“DOT”) is seeking concessionaires for the development, operation, and maintenance of a food, beverage and/or merchandise concession at three Kiosks (Kiosks 1, 2 and 3) at Fordham Plaza located at Fordham Road, Third Avenue and East 189th Street in the Borough of the Bronx (“Plaza”). DOT is also seeking proposals for food, beverage and/or merchandise concession in the Café Building at Fordham Plaza. Prospective proposers are encouraged to consider applying to as many of these RFPs as they are interested in.

TERM
In each Kiosk RFP, DOT is seeking a kiosk concessionaire for one (1) five-year term with three (3) five-year renewal options, exercisable at DOT’s sole discretion. No longer term will be considered. This concession will be operated pursuant to a license agreement issued by DOT; no leasehold or other proprietary right is offered.

SITE VISIT 
There will be a strongly recommended on-site proposer meeting and tour of Fordham Plaza. The tour will take place on May 15, 2019 and will include a tour of the Café Building starting at 10AM and a tour of the kiosks at 11AM. We will be meeting at Fordham Plaza under the canopy at the Café Building doors in the northeast corner of the plaza near the corner of Fordham Road and Third Avenue. If you are considering responding to this RFP, please make every effort to attend this meeting and site tour. DOT will view favorably proposers that attended the site visit.

Flatiron Plaza Food & Beverage Kiosk RFPs

The Flatiron/23rd Street Partnership (BID) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to manage and operate an outdoor food or beverage kiosk (“Kiosk”) in the Flatiron North Public Plaza, located at 23rd Street, Broadway, and Fifth Avenue, and the Flatiron South Public Plaza, located on Broadway between 22nd and 23rd Streets, adjacent the famed Flatiron Building.

Created by the by the New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) in 2008, the Flatiron Public Plazas have become town squares, where countless residents, employees in the neighborhood, and visitors from around the world converge each day. The BID has a concession license agreement with DOT for the operation, management, and maintenance of the Plazas which allows for the operation and management of subconcession(s).

It is the goal of the BID to draw customers to a successfully-branded food or beverage kiosk that is successful and enhances the atmosphere and experience of the Flatiron Public Plazas and this vibrant neighborhood.

A nonmandatory pre-bid conference will be held on Thursday, January 24th at 10 am at the office of the Flatiron BID (27 West 24th Street, Suite 800B). The pre-bid conference will include a site visit to the Flatiron Public Plazas. Questions related to the RFPs should be submitted in writing to the BID no later than Friday, February 1st at 5 pm. All proposals are due by 5 pm on Friday, February 22, 2019.

New York City Parks Releases Bid Request

The New York City Parks Department has just released two Requests for Bids for mobile food concessions throughout the city.  One is for various parks throughout all five boroughs, and the other is for locations specifically within Central Park.

Both were issued yesterday, and both have a Tuesday, May 23rd deadline.  If you’re interested in applying, be sure to read thoroughly through the rules and regulations of the application and the operation.  Historically, NYC has enforced stringent bylaws for these types of operations, including menu items and pricing, operating hours, and initial capital cost requirements.

One Way to Go Green Today: Apply to be a Mobile Food Vendor at NYC Parks

The NYC parks department has issued a request for bids (RFB) for mobile food vendors at various park locations in Central Park and around the city. See below for details, and apply before Thursday, April 7th.

In accordance with Section 1-12 of the Concession Rules of the City of New York, the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation (“Parks”) is issuing, as of the date of this notice, a Request for Bids (“RFB”) for the sale of food from mobile food units at various park locations citywide (Solicitation #CWB2016B),and a Request for Bids for the sale of food from mobile food units at various locations at Central Park, Manhattan (solicitation #CWB2016A).

Hard copies of each RFB can be obtained, at no cost, commencing Wednesday, March 16, 2016 through Thursday, April 7, 2016 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., excluding weekends and holidays, at the Revenue Division of the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, which is located at 830 Fifth Avenue, Room 407, New York, NY 10065.   All bids submitted in response to each RFB must be submitted by no later than Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.

Jacob Riis Park Seeking Lease

RFB: Food Trucks at Central Park and Washington Square Park

A Request for Bids (RFB) has been released for Mobile Food Units at Central Park and Washington Square Park in Manhattan. These locations offer an opportunity for mobile food businesses to cater to a wide variety of customers at these popular NYC destinations. All bids in response to this RFB must be submitted no later than Friday, April 11, 2014 at 11 am.

RFP: Brooklyn Culinary Incubator

The NYCEDC is seeking proposals for an incubator space in the Brooklyn neighborhoods of Bedford Stuyvesant, Brownsville, East New York or Crown Heights. A food-use related incubator program, such as food manufacturing, storage, or shared commercial kitchen space is preferred; however proposals for other incubator uses will also be considered.
