Dorie and Josh Greenspan pop-up CookieBar ends tomorrow, Febuary 10th

The 3rd Annual pop-up CookieBar debut this week in Midtown East at Mizu. The shop features a selection of well known favorites including Chewy Chunky Blondies, Espresso Shortbread Chocolate Chip, French Vanilla Sable and a few newcomers.
Mizu is located on 505 Park Ave between 59th and 60th Street from 10am – 6pm

Food Trucks are now in Battery Park City

Starting today through 2013, food trucks will be located outside of 4 World Financial Center, North End Avenue at Vesey Street on weekdays from 11am – 3pm.

Astoria and Queens Center Mall will be the getting their own spin on frozen yogurt. 16 Handles is coming your way

The light tasting frozen yogurt company with numerous locations throughout Manhattan will be showcasing yogurt favorites like angel food cake and green tea tart.
16 Handles will open up at Queens Center Mall at 90-15 Queens Boulevard and in Astoria at 37-07 30th Avenue. Opening date not confirmed

Kim Ima, Owner of Treats Truck, plans to open up a brick and mortar location in Carroll Gardens

The bakery/cafe will offer breakfast and a light lunch menu along with those famous cookie “treats”.
The shop is expected to open mid-February or March of this year

Ovenly plans to open 1st brick-and-mortar location in Greenpoint

After much success since starting operations in 2010, Ovenly will be opening a retail, event and test kitchen space.
The space is expected to open in March on 31 Greenpoint Avenue at the corner of West St

Demi Monde is set to bring cocktails and coffee to the Financial District very soon

The new hybrid coffee-cockatil bar will be partnering up with Los Angeles’ Handsome Coffee Roasters to introduce what we’d like to call the “caffineated fix”.
Demi Monde is located on 90 Broad Street (near Bridge Street). There is no word out yet on an exact opening date

Guess who is coming to Greenwich Village? Stumptown!

Plans for the first stand-alone Stumptown Coffee Roasters’ location will open around late Spring/early Summer in Greenwich Village on 30 West 8th Street.

The Big Gay Ice Cream Shop will be hosting a “Festivus Celebration” today and tomorrow with donations going to New York Cares

As the year winds down, Big Gay Ice Cream Shop will be celebrating with the introduction of the Festivus Miracle Cone made with vanilla ice cream dyed green and covered with red sprinkles. The shop will be closed after Friday until the New Year kicks off.
The shop will be open from 2pm – 11pm and is located on 125 East 7th Street

The new Chelsea Market expansion plans has less flair but with a happier medium

The revised expansion plans done by Jamestown Properties, which owns the the building of the Chelsea Market space, promises to preserve pieces of the existing structure.
The revised plan was done after community board members from the area were against the original plan which took away much of the Chelsea Market of today and turned into a sleek, modernly designed cube
