Grimaldi’s now back in business in DUMBO

The original Dumbo location at 19 Old Fulton Street was closed due to a dispute with the landlord. The owner now has a bigger and fancier space which is located next door to the original one. The new Grimaldi’s will be serving up pizza at 1 Front Street close to Cadman Plaza W.

Ovenly plans to open 1st brick-and-mortar location in Greenpoint

After much success since starting operations in 2010, Ovenly will be opening a retail, event and test kitchen space.
The space is expected to open in March on 31 Greenpoint Avenue at the corner of West St

Ace Hotel’s No. 7 Sub will be opening a bigger location in Greenpoint next Wednesday, January 18th

The long lines for those tasty subs will make its debut in Brooklyn with the same menu we’ve come to love ,but now, with cocktails, beer and wine.
The second outpost will be located on 931 Manhattan Ave at Kent Street

After being in business for 14 years, Tillie’s of Brooklyn closed its doors on New Year’s Day. A planned bake sale is scheduled for this Friday, January 6th, 2012 at 8pm

A $2,000 rent increase is the reason behind the closing of the neighborhood coffee shop and most residents are not too happy about the closing.
Marc Eardley, a patron of the beloved coffee shop, is seeking to save it by preserving the current layout but will turn it into a café/comic book shop

Shake Shack is now open in Downtown Brooklyn on 409 Fulton St

City denies Gowanus’ Whole Foods permission to build on the banks of the waterfront

The New York City Board of Standard and Appeals wants to make sure that the environment surrounding the space is protected and denied the grant for construction on the waterfront on Tuesday, December 13th.
Brooklyn locals who are in favor of the development of the new Whole Foods store think that the access to organic food and other benefits that it would bring to Carroll Gardens and Park Slope outweighs the pollution factors
