Later this month, Brooklyn FoodWorks will be hosting another great event. Attorneys from Goodwin Proctor LLP will be speaking about regulatory issues and liability concerns related to food labeling. These events are a great opportunity to network with food and beverage entrepreneurs and discuss relevant topics to the industry. This event is free for all, and will be held in the old Pfizer building on Flatbush Ave in Brooklyn.

Beginning in August, the meatpacking district will be home to a new museum dedicated to the wonderful world of ice cream, where guests can play in an ice cream-themed playground, learn about the history of the cold treat, and of course try samples. Co-founders Maryellis Bunn and Manish Vora originally embarked on the project last year in order to fulfill Bunn’s childhood dream of being able to swim in a pool of sprinkles. That specific fantasy will be available to all visitors at the museum, where the pair have filled a life-size pool with sprinkles that may not be edible, but are designed to look and feel exactly like the kind usually seen on sundaes.
Registration is now open for both exhibitors and attendees to the NY NOW Home, Lifestyle and Gift Exhibition at the Javitz Center. The event takes place over the course of 5 days, and will feature products from over 2,000 suppliers ranging from food and beverage to gifts and home goods. NY NOW is a unique opportunity to check out the latest in retail, often before it hits the shelves.
