Every page we’ve turned this week featured a list. After all the events, parties, and working around food daily, these lists still make us hungry for more. 2012 may just be the year of the list.

Food Republic‘s Editor writes of memorable meals, while the New York Times‘s Critic writes about some (sleeper and standout) hits of 2012. New York Magazine’s Adam Platt simply tells us where to eat in 2013.

Eater ran a list, by a large number of food journalists, on Chefs and Restaurateurs to Watch in 2013.

Serious trade journal Nation’s Restaurant News ran down top stories of 2012, which is a good summation of trends.

For those of us who can’t get enough recipes or recipe reading, Huffington Post scours the media for the Best Recipes of the Year .
