Eli’s Bread opens in Grand Central

The new bread bakery addition opened in the space where Corrado Bread and Pastry once lived. All baked goods will come from their Upper East Side location for now until their on-site kitchen space is completed.

Battery Park City will soon be home to a rotating line-up of food trucks near The World Financial Center

Trucks will be parked on North End Avenue everyday from 11am to 3pm. David Cheikin, director of Brooklfield Properties which owns the World Financial Center, is currently figuring out how everything will work with The New York City Food Truck Association.

With plans to open a Noho location early next year, Mile End tries to get a wine and beer license approved

Zella Jones of the neighborhood expressed concerns to Community Board 2 about the late night drinking crowd that the location will attract if it’s opening from 8am – 2am. Although Mile End showed a signed petition of 140 signatures, the application was denied.
Mile End will be trying to get the license passed on the state level
