Great Wines of Italy Event

On January 26th, JamesSuckling.com and Zachys are presenting Great Wines of Italy to showcase the best Italy has to offer. The event is a unique opportunity to taste the wines and meet the producers from 75 outstanding Italian wineries. The walk-around tasting will also feature an elaborate cheese selection, a refreshing sparkling wine bar, and music from award-winning recording artists curated by Rob Moose.

With each winery presenting two wines, the selection is guaranteed to be great; all wines being poured have been hand-picked by internationally acclaimed wine critic James Suckling and awarded 90 points or more. Great Wines of Italy is part of the successful Great Wines event series hosted by James Suckling. With wine tastings in the US, Asia and Europe, the events offer a one-of-a-kind experience. General admission tickets are $125, with VIP ticket options as well. The event will take place at the IAC at 555 W 18th Street from 5:30-8:30PM. To register for the event and for more information, click here

Mission Chinese Food Is Back!

Danny Bowien fans were very upset when Mission Chinese Food shut down at the Orchard Street location. Following a lawsuit fiasco, Danny Bowien did open a Mission Chinese Food pop-up in Brooklyn for a short while. As of this weekend, Mission Chinese Food officially reopened at 171 East Broadway. This location used to be the home of Rosette which was short lived. For now, Mission Chinese will be open only for dinner, Tuesdays through Sundays.

The reopening being just in time for Christmas, Mission Chinese Food is partnering with Russ & Daughters Cafe for Christmas dinner! For $60 per person, by reservation only for Thursday, December 25th, a family style dinner will be served with some of the favorites from Mission Chinese Food and Russ & Daughters Cafe. The dinner will take place at Russ & Daughters Cafe, at 127 Orchard Street, and reservations for the very Lower East Side Jewish Christmas with Mission Chinese Food can be made my emailing russanddaughtersrsvp@gmail.com.
