Whole Foods is officially coming to Williamsburg

The all-cash transaction for 242 Bedford Avenue (at N. 4th Street) closed this week Monday. The space will feature Whole Foods and a New York Sports Club on the ground floor with luxury apartments above. With the remaining retail space of 30,000 square feet, there are talks of Sephora being close to signing a lease and Brooklyn Heights Pizza in development.

It’s not just in Williamsburg anymore- Blue Bottle Coffee opens third New York location at Rockefeller Center (second in Manhattan)

On the concourse level next to ‘Wichcraft, there will be more brewing going on. The roaster-retailer opened yesterday to a light crowd built for the Midtown rush. The Rockefeller Center opening comes on the heels of last month’s opening in Chelsea– their 1st Manhattan location.

The successful event of nine years has tons of restaurants in various neighborhoods participating in efforts to promote Brooklyn’s dining scene. In addition to prix fixe, some restaurants are offering 2-for-1 brunch, lunch and dinner specials.

Parisian chocolatier Christian Vautier opens Christian Vautier Le Concept today in the Lower East Side

Getting back to the sweeter side of things, the boutique chocolate shop and cafe promises freshness in each production as treats like chocolate spreads and fruit jellies are made daily. The shop will also offer coffee from Dallis Brothers coffee.

Bareburger opens up 3rd Queens location in Forest Hills

The ostrich, elk and wild boar patty shop has expanded to three locations in Queens with a fourth one set to open up in Bayside. All burgers are hormone-free. The soft opening for this location ends on Thursday, where the shop is open from 5pm – 11pm. Starting on Friday, the hours will be 11am – midnight.
