The Meatball Factory is now closed

Although it was short-lived, The Meatball Factory did strike up a lot of buzz for their grand opening in October 2011 for having Top Chef contestant Dave Martin on board and being a competitor to the well-known Meatball Shop empire.
The closing will open doors for a new seafood restaurant coming very soon

Populence opens up in Greenwich Village

Populence is now popping popcorn that is all-natural and gourmet with a unique blend of herbs and spices. Think sun-dried tomato with basil and cheddar, ginger-caramel or orange-vanilla.

Iconic Hand Rolls is now open in the East Village

The signature logo design defines the single product offering at this new fast casual spot that specializes in temaki rolls on a cone. The temaki roll menu includes cobia ceviche, skirt steak, eggplant, coconut shrimp (and more) with beer and sake.

Taïm is expected to open their 2nd shop in Nolita later this month

In two weeks, the new 18-seater shop for the falafel and sabich empire will open on Mulberry Street. The menu will feature much of their staple items from the Waverly Street location with some new seasonal options to choose from.

Nicoletta Pizzeria opens a 60-seater pizza shop in the East Village

Michael White, chef/owner of Ai Fiori and Osteria Morini, is now diving into the world of
anti-Neapolitan pizza. If Nicoletta place lives up to the menu at his established restaurants,
then it will definitely be a hit.

Rocket Pig is now open is Chelsea

A place where happy pigs fly, Rocket Pig’s signature pork sandwich is described as “smoked spice-rubbed pork on ciabatta roll with red onion jam and mustard sauce, a house-made pickle with a side of rocket pig hot sauce”. They also serve wine and beer along with cheeses to pair
with charcuterie

That Tot Spot dedicated to tater tots is now open on Saturdays at Williamsburg’s Artists & Fleas Market

Tater tots are paired with special recipe spices and sauce. The team at That Tot Spot suggested picks are Bacon Spiced Tots with Bourbon Spiked Ketchup, Cajun Spiced Tots with Red Island Sauce or Crab Spiced Tots with Crabby Mayo. Sounds delicious!

Free salad giveaways today at 11:30am to mark the newest addition to the Chop’t chain in the Flatiron District

Chop’t is opening their doors today with free salad from 11:30am – 1:30pm. This will be the ninth location to the salad fast casual restaurant chain.

This chicken finger spot serves it up baked, grilled or fried. They also have a tofu version for
