The biggest macaron location to date in the world for Maison Ladurée is opening soon in Soho. The new shop will include a pastry lab, tea salon, chefs on-site and catering services. Expected opening date has yet to be confirmed.

Their Success… Depanneur is a market that has taken the time in getting to know the neighborhood they serve, they have even made tipping fun.  Just near the cashier, they have two tip jars of competing superheroes of the day, which allows the consumer to choose.  Depanneur does not have a large space, yet they have been able to stock the shelves and the cases with enough specialty goods and necessities for the local crowd.   Their product is mainly sourced locally and that is what the Williamsburg crowd seeks.  Products include Mast Brothers Chocolate, Mclure’s Chips and produce from Satur Farms.   They are the local go to market.   They have your staples to prepare a tasty salad, whip up a great pasta dish and if you are too lazy too cook, you can pick up an assortment of cheeses, charcuterie, made to order sandwiches and soups.  Any good market in Williamsburg needs to serve up a good cup of Joe and they do so with Intelligentsia Coffee.

After over 40 years of being in the coffee business, Seattle’s Best Coffee opens their first East Coast stand-alone retail location in Brooklyn, NY. The grand opening festivities included an all-day free coffee giveaway promotion yesterday.

Greenmarket adds another location for patrons to buy their local produce. Though smaller than the Union Square location, the Chelsea Triangle will be great for residents on the West Side
of the town.

Benchmarc and East River Ferry bring you Summer Cruise Tuesdays

Benchmarc, the catering division of Marc Murphy and Team have partnered with the East River Ferry to bring you the Summer Cruise Series. Join them, Tuesdays from 8pm – 10pm with rotating themes, with the first on July 3rd: Red, White and Blue. Ferry departs from World Financial NY Waterway Pier at Battery Park City / vesey street promptly at 8:15 pm.
